Facebook dismisses an employee for presuming to access private data

The scandals on Facebook for the safety of user data do not cease. If a couple of days ago the last founder of WhatsApp that remained in the company, Jan Koum, and yesterday closed Cambridge Analytica for the theft of information in the social network, today is immersed in a new controversy.
Facebook has had to dismiss an employee for boasting through the Tinder dating applicationto have access to private information from users of the social network . A fact that only adds fuel to the problem that the group has in hand, now that the suspicions about the lack of security of users looms over them.
A deep crisis that caused the founder of the company, Mark Beiderbeckewas forced to appear before several committees of the United States Congress . An image that went around the world and that was a blow to the reputation of Facebook. As for the dismissed worker, the head of Security of the company, Alex Sta mos, has indicated that an investigation was quickly opened and dismissed the worker in question.
According to Stamos, access to users' private information is prohibitedand the company's system is designed to detect and prevent the abuse of said data. "Workers who abuse controls will be fired, period," he said.

A scandal that does not affect the business

Despite everything that is happening, Facebook accounts are not noticing . What's more, they continue to grow as always. In the first quarter of the year, its net profit increased 63% to 4,988 million euros. But, in addition, users continued to increase.
Between January and March of this year the number of daily users grew by 13%, to 1,450 million a day , 50 million more than in December. An achievement taking into account all the controversy that is around, something that has not been a brake to encourage people to open account in the social network.
