Emmanuel Macron does not have a good press in France, or at least that is what a poll conducted a year after his election says, revealing that 59% would not want him to run for a new race for the Elysee in 2022.
These are the main conclusions of a survey of the Odoxa demoscopic institute , published today by Le Figaro "and France Info , in which the main defects that Macron pointed out to voters are his lack of humility and his inclination to favor the rich with your policies.
Specifically, 76% estimate that it is not humble, 72% associate it with that image that sticks to being "the president of the rich" and 68% see it far from the people.
As for the 52% who have a bad opinion of the head of state (40 years), they are particularly numerous among the workers (61%), among the French with the lowest income (60%), among the inhabitants of less than 20,000 inhabitants (57%) and among those with less education (57% of those who have not reached the equivalent of Selectivity).
On the contrary, 48% who have a good opinion of Macron is very strongly represented among those who have the professional status of "cadres" (with authority or autonomy in their work, 70%) , among the French with the highest income ( 60%), among those who have higher education than the Selectividad (62%) or among those who live in cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants (52%).
On the reasons that 59% do not want to be a candidate again, according to the analysis of Odoxa, beyond its image weighs the orientation of its policy, which is judged unbalanced and oriented more to the right than to the left .
The consolation for Macron is that for his predecessor, the Socialist François Hollande , when he had spent a year of his mandate were 77% of respondents who were against his return to dispute a second term.
Given his unpopularity and the complexity of the political scenario, Hollande ended up renouncing in December 2016 a new electoral battle for the Elysee, which was a novelty in the V Republic .
The disclosure of the survey coincides with the organization in Paris of a demonstration , which is intended to be festive, to criticize Macron's policies during his first year in office.
